What security risks am I at with posting my Freelancing information on this site?
The same risks associated with posting any personal information on any public resume site. Therefore, for those uncomfortable posting names and addresses, we recommend that you create a 'free' email address, post only that email address as your point of contact, and filter the responses you receive.

I'm not interested in registering or posting any material on this site, what can I do?
Well, use and posting material to the site is completely voluntary, and is fully your responsibility, but other members will post material that you can freely browse and review. You will have to frequently return to see the latest posts on the Site, since no one can directly contact you.

No, Intertainia Productions Incorporated, this Site's owner, does not sell your contact information to other companies.

Security Risks
I have posted my Freelancing skills on your Site, and I got a phone call asking for my Social Security Number to verify my ability to work in this country. What do I do?
Time Out. This scam is so frequent, it prompted us to putting this whole "Security Risks" section in our FAQ's. A phone interview to review your skills should never include the transfer of information that could be detrimental to your personal security. You should never give information like your Social Security Number, Date of Birth, or Mother's Madden name over the phone. None of that information is pertinent in a phone interview. You just have to answer the question, are you able to work in the United States. If this position was for employment, then it is expected that later you will be providing your Social Security Information only after you have verified this offer is from a legitimate company, for legitimate purposes.

I posted my Freelancing Profiled, and now am receiving phone calls from 'head-hunters' asking for a referral fee. What do I do?
It is possible this is a real offer. Most talent placement agencies work off their client fees, but I've heard some will 'request' fees from the Freelancer. First, protecting yourself is important, so verify their legitimacy (BBB.org, your local State agencies, etc.) of the company, and never give information you could later regret doing so. Second, evaluate do you really need it? Many clients will submit projects to multiple talent placement agencies, do you need to talk to the one that charges you?

I received an email from FreelancingProjects.com, asking for personal and financial information, what is this?
It is a scam. For a while now, many real site users have been bombarded with email requesting verification information(typically user-name, password, credit card numbers, etc.). FreelancingProjects.com will not ever send an unsolicited email, requesting any personal or financial information from you. If you receive such email, please forward it to us, and we will assist you in reporting this to the proper authorities.
